Reviews and Ratings
My stay at Hotel Moonstone was a mixed bag. The rooms were clean and well-equipped, but the prices felt a bit high compared to other places I experienced in Sri Lanka. The service was decent, as the staff tried to accommodate us, but there were some billing issues at the end. The location is quite far from town, making it a challenge to explore the area easily.
I recently stayed at this hotel, and while I found the rooms clean and equipped with cozy beds and decent amenities, they were a bit on the smaller side and lacked a table for working. The service was friendly and accommodating, which helped balance out my experience, but I was disappointed to find out the final bill included unexpected charges. The location is quite convenient for exploring the ancient city by bicycle, and the dining options offered traditional Sri Lankan food that I really enjoyed. Overall, it's a good value for the money, though there are a few areas that could use improvement.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed bag. While the staff were quite helpful in planning outings, such as a safari in Wilpattu, the overall value felt off, especially with the final bill being a letdown. The rooms were clean, but just basic essentials, and the location was frustratingly far from any activity or shops. Despite those drawbacks, I appreciated their assistive nature and the inherent cleanliness of the space.
I had a delightful stay at this hotel. The rooms were surprisingly clean and basic, making it really comfortable for our needs. I enjoyed the food in the restaurant, which was tasty and satisfying. However, the location was quite far from the main attractions, which made it a bit of a hassle to get around. Overall, it's a good value for what you pay, but proximity to the town could be improved.
I had a pleasant stay overall. The rooms were clean and comfortable, making for a nice retreat after a day of exploring. The service was excellent and attentive, though it could be a bit tricky if you don't speak the local language. The location was decent, being close to a few temples, but not very walkable. The dining options left something to be desired, especially during breakfast. Despite that, everything was quite affordable, which I appreciated.
